Smalls Jazz Club

This small jazz club has a famous reputation as being one of the best things to do in NYC. It is known for being a “hotbed for NY’s jazz talent.” It is at 183 W. 10th St. in Greenwich Village. It is one of the best jazz clubs in the entire city of New York. The musicians performing here aren’t as famous as the two other clubs. However, the quality of the music is just as high. The club is not too far away from Blue Note. It can also be reached by getting off at stop eight of the hop on hop off NYC downtown route. It is in a basement and seats approximately 60 people, so get there early to grab a good spot!

Corkbuzz Wine Studio

This place is not a jazz club, but it is a great place to have a glass of wine and listen to jazz music.  The wine bar recently started a live Sunday jazz series from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with half-off champagne. You can sit at high-top tables, communal tables, or at the bar while enjoying a good glass of wine and listening to great local jazz artists. The restaurant is at 75 9th Ave. That’s right next to stop 13 of the downtown route.

The Astor Room

The Astor Room is in Brooklyn (more specifically Astoria), and it’s not accessible with the hop on hop off double decker bus. However, you can get there by using your free two-hour bike rental. It is located at 5-11 35th Ave in Astoria. It is a great place to have brunch while listening to old-school jazz. From 11:30 in the morning to 3:30 in the afternoon, famous performers will fill your ears with delightful jazz music while you eat a classic eggs benedict and enjoy a delicious mimosa.
