NYC Attractions for Teenagers

Bringing your teenagers along with you on your vacation can be a hassle. This is especially true when it comes to finding NYC attractions that keep them interested and entertained. This is why we came up with a list of seven teen-friendly things to do in NYC that you can access with your NYC pass.

M&M’s World

The M&M’s World is a two-story store in the heart of Broadway. You can get to Broadway by getting on either the hop on hop off NYC downtown route or the hop on hop off NYC uptown route. With a color wall that is packed with thousands of M&M candies of all flavors and fun attractions such as the Color Mood Analyzer, this store will not only give everyone a good old sugar rush but will keep your teens entertained for quite a while. In addition to the candy, the store also offers M&M’s-branded souvenirs, such as clothes, stuffed M&Ms, clip art, and more. This is just one of many NYC attractions your teens will love.

Hershey’s Shop

If your teenagers’ candy cravings are not satisfied, walk next door to the Hershey’s shop. There is a variety of Hershey’s products and other interactive experiences. You can choose among a variety of products such as Hershey’s kisses, Reese’s Miniatures, Hershey’s Cookies, and more. Don’t forget to stop by the giant screen to take a picture for the world to see!

Madame Tussauds

When your stomach is full of candy, enter Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum. You will find over 200 life-like wax figures of you and your teenager’s favorite celebrities, athletes, and political icons. Your teen will definitely enjoy Kong: Skull Island, an immersive exhibit where you travel deep into King Kong’s island and get very close to an 18-foot animatronic King Kong wax figure.

Ripley’s Believe It or Not

This attraction is a must-do if you are bringing teenagers along on your trip. It is also conveniently located in Times Square. It will let you escape reality by bringing you the strangest artifacts and exhibits. From unusual art to animals with strange characteristics to shrinking heads, Ripley’s Believe It or Not will definitely keep your teens entertained. One of the most popular NYC attractions is the Impossible LaseRace, a game where you have to get through a maze of lasers as quickly as possible. Another fun exhibit is the “Little Apple,” a miniature showcase of New York City.

See a Broadway Show

Since you are already on Broadway, bring your teens to see a world-famous Broadway Show. Although there are an enormous amount of shows available, there are a couple that will most likely spike your teens’ interests, such as the Lion King, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Aladdin.

American Museum of Natural History

If you rather get on the hop on hop off NYC uptown tour, make sure to stop at the American Museum of Natural History. Out of all the museums in New York City, this one will definitely interest your teens. It contains fascinating exhibits of space and the human brain, a Planetarium, a space show, and dinosaur skeletons. You can even watch an IMAX movie. The museum is right next to the beautiful Central Park. There, you can go for a walk or a bike tour.
