Snowing makes New York sightseeing even more delightful than it already is. From building snowmen to sledding to snowball fights, the ground becomes a playground for all. When it snows outside, there are many New York sightseeing activities you can do. Some of them involve staying inside, while others are in the snow.

Museums

Some people don’t like the snow. That is fine because there are plenty of New York sightseeing activities that don’t require you to be outside. Visiting a museum is one of them. The city is home to many world-renowned museums, such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim Museum, and the American Museum of Natural History. You can also go to the Museum of the City of New York, the Jewish Museum, and the Museum of Modern Art. They offer magnificent galleries and exhibition halls. These museums are some of the worlds’ greatest cultural hubs.

Central Park

If snow is your thing, then head over to Central Park for some winter activities. When it snows, the park becomes a big playground. You can go for a walk and discover a winter wonderland, or you can partake in a winter snow activity. Try sledding, snowshoeing, or ice skating. Sledding is a very popular activity in the park when it snows. You’ll see many New Yorkers sledding with their children in the park. The most popular spots inside the park are Cedar Hill and Pilgrim Hill. Cedar Hill is great for beginners. You don’t even have to own a sled to go. People get very creative, and some of them even use a garbage can lid. You can also go ice skating at the Wollman Rink in Central Park. This is another very popular attraction during snowy days.
