Take a Break from New York Site Seeing and Try One of These Famous Bloody Marys

The hop on hop off NYC tour is a perfect way to see the city while giving you the flexibility to stop where and when you want. If you want to take a break from New York site seeing, why not get brunch and try some of the city’s best bloody Marys? There are various places in Manhattan where you can not only get tasty food but also have a couple of bloody Marys to quench your thirst.

The King Cole Bar

This restaurant in Midtown East is famous for its Red Snapper with tomato, smoky cayenne pepper leaves, and a lemon wedge. The bar opened in 1934. At that time, the term “Bloody Mary” was deemed too vulgar for the clientele. Therefore, they renamed the cocktail the Red Snapper.

The Lobster Joint

If you are craving seafood but want to add a boozy extra to it, then the Lobster Joint is the place to go. If you are on your New York site seeing tour, get off the double decker bus in downtown Manhattan. Then, get yourself brunch with a lobster claw bloody Mary. They are delicious. They feature green olives, a lobster claw, a garlicky pickle spear, horseradish, and a blend of peppers.

Bar Sardine

Have you ever tried a green bloody Mary? If you head to West Village and make your way to the Bar Sardine, try out the Green Bay Bloody Mary. It has tart tomatillo, Serrano hot sauce, and cucumber water. Celery and olives are on the top, and it has a strong kick to it.

Prune

Another great place for bloody Marys is in East Village at Prune. When you go, try the Danish Bloody Mary. It has horseradish, Tabasco, Worcestershire sauce, and marinated anchovies. This Nordic version of the bloody Mary is spiked with Aquavit and a splash of lemon.

Mother’s Ruin

As you enjoy your New York site seeing, stop at Mother’s Ruin in lower Manhattan. For an extra spicy kick, try the Mother’s Ruin Bloody. It features Old Bay, Sriracha, Cholula, Worcestershire sauce, horseradish, and celery seed.
