Attractions You Can Expect to See with NYC Sightseeing Bus Tours

Recognized as one of the great cities in the world, NYC always offers a whirlwind of things to do and places to go. From history to culture to art to food to pure entertainment, there are always places to go in NYC. As you check into NYC sightseeing bus tours and plan your NYC tour, you will need to pick and choose which of the incredible attractions you want to see first. Here are some attractions you can expect to find on the top of the itinerary of any NY sightseeing bus.

The Statue of Liberty

Did you know the Statue of Liberty – constructed in 1886 – was a gift to the United States from France? The statue remains an icon of American freedom and greatness. Standing at 152 feet tall and weighing 450,000 pounds, anyone who goes New York site seeing needs to see the statue at least once. More importantly, it is not just enough to see the Statue of Liberty from a distance – you could do that without taking a sightseeing tour of NYC. Get on a ferry and take a ride to the statue. You can walk around the statue and then take a guided tour inside of it.

The Empire State Building

In addition to the Statue of Liberty, The Empire State Building is also a famous landmark in the United States. Standing at 381 meters, this building was the tallest building in the world for four decades after its construction. Take a ride on one of the high-speed elevators and see what the city looks like from the 86th-floor observatory. The building also has an observatory on the 102nd floor as well. When the weather is nice and the sky is clear, you can see for roughly 80 miles, allowing you to see neighboring states in addition to New York. The line to go up into the Empire State Building is often frustratingly long. You can avoid the frustration by purchasing “skip the line” tickets in advance. Some NYC sightseeing bus tours may even offer packages or passes for the Empire State Building or the Statue of Liberty.

The Brooklyn Bridge

While exploring buildings like the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty, it does not hurt to add the Brooklyn Bridge to your list. This is another gorgeous piece of architecture with a very rich history. With so many places to go in NYC, the sky is the limit on what kind of attractions you should see during your bus tour. In fact, with so many choices to consider, you have to decide what places you really want to see first.
